ABOUT ME
Hi! My name is Veronica but everyone calls me “Vee.” While I am relatively new to the UXR field, my extensive experience as a special educator, public health researcher and community organizer has well prepared me for the job. Making sure everyone is seen and heard is what motivates me; and, being a good listener and empathic problem-solver is what makes me an asset.
I employed many methods and strategies from the human-centered design toolkit long before I actively pursued certificates in UX or UXR, created my first prototype or engaged participants in a usability study! Despite the job titles of my past, my role was always similar to that of a user experience researcher — to use data to remove obstacles to access and create equitable and engaging interactions for others.
As a user experience researcher with knowledge of the design process, I understand the importance of uncovering insights about users that drive decision-making about products, services and organizational strategy; and to work collaboratively across teams to build a mature, inclusive research practice.
